Hey Newnorth, I DID find sandals for my kid (at a sporting good store), and those are in her luggage which arrived safely.
Will, nope. I'm amex-free.
Anyway, United claims that my luggage will arrive later this evening. I so hope they're right. I've already stained the shirt I'm wearing with my messy eating.

well at least you couldn't find the sandals (or hat,but would you keep a hat in your luggage? I really don't know how to pack a hat.)

Avery, that's good advice, but my luggage did arrive late that evening. I'm set with my normal ugly attire. No need to buy more.
Janelle, well, a lot warmer than SF. Today was actually a teeny bit chilly for the beach. Besides, you're living in Italy now. No being jealous.
